STREAM MIRRORING SKY

Stream or download sounds from the Mirroring Sky app as you follow the outlined route through Center City, Philadelphia.

MIRRORING SKY is an interactive exploration of Philadelphia that explores the intersection between theatre, music, and technology. The work addresses themes of the individual in the city and the simultaneously collective and solitary experience of urban life. Participants can download a mobile phone application and use it to take a guided walk from Rittenhouse Square to the waterfront of the Schuylkill River Park. The music and soundscapes are represented in their entirety in this Soundcloud playlist. As participants walk through Philadelphia’s streets, they will experience a selection of site-specific dialogue, music, and sounds created by Artistic Director William Steinberger and Composer/Sound Designer Marc LeMay. The project is inspired by the poetry of Wallace Stevens and Leah Goldberg.
